To ensure the safety of climbers and preserve the pristine beauty of Kilimanjaro’s wilderness for future generations, Tanzania National Parks Authority (TANAPA) has established several routes. Our recommended routes include the Rongai and Lemosho Routes for novice climbers, the Machame Route for beginners, and the Marangu, Northern Circuit and Umbwe Routes for climbers with prior hiking experience. Accommodations on all routes are camping, with the exception of the Marangu Route, where climbers can sleep in well-established huts.
